Half a Hike

DSC07954.jpeg

A couple of photos here from my “Half a Hike”, just over and beyond Cameron Falls, Waterton Park, Alberta. Had to cut this hike short, due to time constraints. As you see, a forest fire has touched this area. More specifically, back in 2017, a massive fire ripped through here. Approximately 80% of all hiking trails inside the park were affected. They say, after a forest fire, it can take on average 50 years for a forest to return to its pre-fire state. That is a loong time. I wish it could be quicker. Thanks for stopping by.

What a contrast, the green grass talking about life, and the burned trees, speaking of death... Nice shot

It looks like a nice place to Hike, lush and green and a nice looking day overhead as well.

A meaningful shot, the tall trees still stand strong even though they are no longer alive. The grass below is starting to turn green, it proves that nature has not given up on rising again.

Such type of hikes looks boring isn't it? Like no view just the Old dead tress and all. Not much interesting view....

Well, the view of the water falls from up top was decent. All in all not a 10/10 hike but still worthwhile.

It's really ironic, even though nature is very good when we humans take care of it, and I think the fires that occur are also due to our human hands.Hopefully in the future we will pay more attention to this, 50 years for the forest to return to its original state is not a short time.

Have a great day my brother and thank you for sharing this wonderful post.👍
