Frozen Lake Minnewanka
Yesterday we drove out to Banff National Park, located inside Alberta, Canada. The temperature was well above freezing, but that doesn’t mean the lake ice has melted yet, far from it actually. In fact here at Lake Minnewanka, the lake was still mostly frozen over. Mix in the sun beating down (and me in my shorts), and the fresh Spring air — what a gorgeous sight and experience it was. I’m sure glad we decided to make Lake Minnewanka our first stop of the day. Thanks for stopping by.

Your pictures are beautiful, especially the coloured ones.
Have a safe trip.
I will. Thank you!
Wow! What a lake! The pictures you produced are amazing. Happy adventuring my friend♥️
Glad you liked it @alexwilliam.
I was wondering what was that white on the shore... Still frozen in almost may? Wow how much cold is that lol
Must have been a great day
This portion of the lake was yes, there is another area nearby which is almost all melted. Go figure. Thanks.
Great pictures of a frozen lake and stunning mountain at the back. How mesmerizing living in a place with that kind of view.
Indeed, we are so lucky to live around here. Thanks for stopping by.
Absolutely beautiful, summer must be getting close to you guys!
Yes, can hardly wait!

It was the mountain that got my attention, it's beautiful. Happy adventure
One beauty of a mountain. Thanks for looking.
Very beautiful view, the snow-capped mountain peaks look majestic and the details are sharp. Thank you for sharing this beauty.
We had such a fun trip, and the warm weather was just a cherry on top.
Just amazing Shots

Beautiful sight indeed, I check the frozen areas you mentioned from the pictures and it feels like it must've been really cold. Although the sun was out, so it balances the air and weather.
Have you completely replaced the Huawei with the iPhone 16?
Pretty much yes, but I brought it along anyways, just in case I wanted to use it -- which didnt happen. Thanks for stopping by.
Living in Durban, South Africa, in a tropical climate, being at a frozen lake wearing shorts sounds like a very brave thing to do...LOL! I love you photos👍!
Well not as brave as you might think. Typical Canadian manner!
What a beautiful mountain shot with all of the peaks. That's a nice mountain, not one I would climb by any means though. That lake is still very frozen. Are those ice fishing housed on the lake? Great pictures, glad you had a chance to get out and enjoy the outdoors!
Hmmm..maybe, but in the summer they are used for the boat tours. Felt great to get in some proper mountain time!
OMG!... What a way you take photos @daveks friend!!!... Master!!!!
Thanks!
Que hermosas fotos. Y el lago inmenso.
Thanks.
I like that mountain with them 4 big peaks, that 3rd shot is rul coo with the trees & the mountain in the back
Thanks bos, gotta love Banff.
Black and white photography is great usually, but in this case the colour photography stands out. It does more justice to the majestic snow-capped mountains. Great photography!
Yes, well thanks. Appreciate that.
