First Photos from Vancouver Island ~ Day 1

DSC09067.jpeg

We arrived on Vancouver island, Comox airport at approximately 4pm (mid July). Grabbed a rental car and drove straight to our hotel in nearby Courtney. We were pretty tired after starting out quite early in the day, but being the curious guy that I am, wanted to check out the lay of the land around our hotel. So I went for a walk toward the ocean. First thing I noticed were these little brown rabbits seemingly everywhere! Super cute. Much to my surprise, there was a tiny landing strip just behind our hotel. Hmmmm, hows that going to workout in terms of loud propeller noise early in the morning..we shall see I thought. Sure glad to be finally here, as we had been planning this vacation for sometime. To be continued. Thanks for stopping by.

This bunny is so cute!! It doesn't even seem a wild one, it's very healthy and in good shape

Also good airfield shots

They seemed quite tame in fact, I was surprised.

Your holiday was truly sweet, the scenery was truly complete, there was the sea, dry grass, a small airport and cute rabbits roaming freely.

What's not to love about that, and as it turned out, very little bothersome noise coming from the airstrip.

What a cute rabbit! It would take some serious balls to land a plane on that airstrip, with those trees lining both sides. One bad gust of wind and ooops....

What a beautiful place, I'm glad you got to enjoy the pines! And the airstrip! lol

It was surprising to find this tiny airstrip behind our hotel, this is pretty much the closest I have ever been to plane taking off (without me being a passenger).
