Elk Falls

DSC09560.jpeg

After about two hours on the hiking trail, we finally arrived at the reward. This is Elk Falls, located near the city of Campbell River, Vancouver Island, British Columbia. A beautiful fall! If you look carefully, you can see a few “hikers” dangerously close to the cliff edge, probably trying to get a “cool” selfie. I did a quick search and apparently over 30 people per year die after attemping a dangerous selfie! One thing I never do is take selfies, how about you? Thanks for stopping by.

Wow that's a massive fall! It's very high and beautiful... Die for a selfie, that's sick

People lose all sense of danger, just to get the best selfie..

It gives me goosebumps reading that many people die every year there. Judging from your shot, the cliff does look dangerous, only people with great courage can climb it. Take good care of yourself, bro.

Please dear I don't understand. Please throw further explanation. Is taking a selfie dangerous to the health? Why do they die?

People get too close to a dangerous cliff, and can fall over accidentally.

Ohh, I get it. When you mentioned their position on the mountain, I became afraid as if I am the one standing on the cliff edge. People should always consider safety first

Those people look like midgetz. Awesome white water in that color photo graph. I hope no one goes white water rafting there, looks kinda vertical

Amazing that there could be a falls that big on an island, but then again it isn't really an island. Except technically! What a gorgeous end to that hike, you must have all enjoyed it!

They call it an island but, it doesn’t feel that way.
