East Kootenay

A couple more photos here taken from around the Kootenay river, before heading off to another location. I imagine this area is alive with bird activity, we could hear and see a few flying nearby. It is times like this when I wish I had the 100mm-400mm lens along (but it is so heavy..). As it turns out, I rarely even use it, but I should more often. It is just not convenient swapping out lenses when you are out and about. The 24mm-105mm is my go to, I really love that lens, it is so versatile! Thanks for stopping by.

Camera: Sony A7R III

What happened to those trees? They seem burned
Oh yea, it would be good to have that lens but in the end you gotta be comfortable walking around!
Yes they are burned, prescribed burn or a natural event. Not sure.
Basically if I put on that huge lens, I would want to just use it for the day. Probably exclusively for bird captures.
I was thinking there was a multi purpose lense that can do the job of the 100MM as well as that of the 24M, Isn't there something like that?
Yes, that is my main lens, the 24-105. Probably something like a 15-200mm would be pretty awesome, but quite expensive.
