East Coast, Vancouver Island

DSC09282.jpeg

After a quick hike through the forest, we made it down to the beach area or “Seal Bay”. Immediately scouting the area I saw no seals, much to my disappointment. I did however see some large Seagulls hanging around (at least I think they were Seagulls, but I could be wrong). Obviously you can see that it was low tide as we were there. Such a cool phenomenon this ocean movement. It is like the ocean is breathing, deep breath in, deep breath out, tide in tide out! Hope you had a great weekend, and thanks for stopping by.

Relaxing, no hiking or adventures yet.

Sitting by the sea, feeling and listening to the waves is so peaceful. The black-and-white photo of the stones looks like a handmade artwork, absolutely stunning. And the other shot with the sea and clouds in the sky,oh my god, it’s just perfect.

Oh wow, the variations of blue on the ocean looks incredible, with the silhouettes of the landscapes ahead and also the clouds. I think that looks like a seagull to me :)

I know there are many, actually over a hundred species of the gull. Thanks for stopping by.

I love that first shot, what a pretty beach view even tough there isn't much sand! Too bad the seals weren't there yet, but the seagulls are always fun to watch.

Isn't it beautiful how the rocks weather along the coast like that? Sometimes rocky beaches are more interesting than sandy one, unless you're in the tropics! lol

Yes, we did have fun walking amongst the large smooth rocks, but like you say, if we were in the tropics it would be nasty.

stones beaches are always so cool to see, less to walk over without shoes lol

in the first picture it doesn't seem a seagull, the neck is too thin and long... no seals what a bait!
