Cross River Views

DSC08512.jpeg

Come on over here, sit down, let’s relax and watch the river flow by together. This is the Cross river. It is a tributary of the mighty Kootenay river, and it is located in the east Kootenay region. This was the destination for our hike that day. What an incredible view it was from up here! The hike itself took about 3 hours round trip, with minimal elevation gain (my kinda hike..). I imagaine this would be a pretty good spot for some fly fishing. Anyone out there a fly fisherman? Or just a “regular” angler. Do tell us in the comment section below. Thanks for stopping by.

That kind of hike—gentle, scenic, rewarding—is my favorite too. I’m not much of an angler, but I can see how a spot like that would be irresistible to one. Thanks for bringing us along for the moment. The photos are so good by the way. I can feel the river flowing in my body.

What a beautiful view. This kind of place is perfect for relaxing. How I love to stay in places like this not to mention of your excellent photography skills. I enjoyed scrolling the different views and the contents here in general.

Great place to relax, especially after the 90 minutes it took to get here. Thanks for looking.

The most beautiful place to have fun, sitting together accompanied by a cup of coffee and a piece of fishing rod is truly perfect.

That bench is perfectly placed, you sit and watch the river, that's it, simple and amazing nature

I like simple! Nature is simple in certain ways, yet complex in others.

Beautiful view, I see that in the first picture, someone out a chair where people can just watch and get a front row view of the flowing stream

Is it possible to have a swim here? I think because of the weather, the river seems cold, but a sort of cold plunge wouldn't be that bad :)

It would be cold, but worth a dip or so I'd say!

What a pretty river! Then surround it with pines and mountains and you have perfection. Great pictures you captured, I really like that second one. Very cool! I've always enjoyed fishing, mostly in the ocean, but you can catch some good fish in rivers too. Do you fish at all?

More like a wannabe fisherman. Always think about it, but rarely do it. Maybe after I retire or something.
