Adjacent to Cranbrook, East Kootenay is where the local community forest is located. There are approximately 2,000 hectares of recreational space here. It is super “spacious”. So many activities to do here which include: hiking, biking, running, horseback riding and other fun things. As you may know, hiking is my favourite pastime and there is plenty of hikes and nature walks to be tackled here! Most certainly will be coming here again and again in the near future. Well thanks for stopping by and have a great evening!

I like that place, it reminds me the hills we have here, the view is similar, you should go back now in fall, with all the trees preparing for winter

That would be a treat to go back now, a little far away though.

What a beautiful vista in that first picture! Looks like a great day to be out in nature... That rock with the lichen looks really cool in mono as the does the stump. It brings out those subtle details, well done. The last one it looks like you caught some wild life wandering in the frame! lol

It looks like a fun day was had by all, thanks for sharing your great pictures!

"Wildlife" as in the guy I was hiking with...the guy that didn't tell me about all the unexpected elevation gain. Lol
