Cascade Ponds
This is the West end of Rundle mountain, as seen from Cascade ponds. This is where the snow melt from neighbouring Cascade mountain, and others ends up. A beautiful area for family gatherings, picnics, and any other leisurely activities. Usually when I come to Banff Park, I make a point of stopping here for an hour or so. So easy to access from the trans Canada highway #1. Check out all the snow still on Mount Rundle versus ground level! Thanks for stopping by, and hope you are having a great weekend.

Wow the first picture is really a stunning view. a complete package in one frame, a clear lake, dense forest and high mountains. the presence of several people walking leisurely adds a touch of peaceful landscape.
