Better in Black & White

As I have mentioned previously, the mountain air last fall was definitely on the smoky side, due to forest fire activity. Today as I was preparing and editing these photos, the “colours” were just not happening at all. So I didn’t to just leave them out, and go only Black & White. I think that was the right choice. The lake in view is Minnestimma Lake, sitting beneath Sentinel Pass, and far above Moraine Lake! Better in Black & White?

We are getting smokey skies here in Wisconsin from Canadian wildfires. Being able to breathe has become a luxury. You did a great job showing these photos in black and white. The smoke adds a lot of atmosphere and mystery!

Still sharp enough to focus on the beautiful cliffside. The smoke of late was so far reaching this time! We were hazardous all the way down here in DC. I cant even imagine up there!

Nice shots and I might have said haze if you hadnt said smoke.

The cliffside is stunning, I never was in front of such mountains. The ones I visited in the north Lagoda skerries are all different - melted with moving glaciers move pretty low rocks. !BEER
