Beautiful & Gnarly

The terrain at the top here was gnarly to say the least! Not only are hoodoos formed through years of windy and rainy weather, but the elements do a number on the trees as well. Beautiful and gnarly. I imagine it would also be difficult for wildlife to survive up here at the top, but generally life always finds a way to persevere in any conditions. You can even find life at the bottom of the ocean, or at the coldest or even hottest places on earth. The earth is an amazing place to live! Thanks for stopping by.

Interesting the first picture, look at what the tree did to survive and attach to the ground with those roots, not a surprise it died there
It is amazing to see, as I get around the various trails, you see life trying it's best, no matter what the circumstances are.
Beautiful! That's my favorite shot. You have some excellent photography skills 🙂
Thank you. Appreciate that!

Thanks.
looking at the first picture amazed by the green view. but when I saw the second picture it made me rub my chest, thinking about the fate of the animals that live there. I can't imagine the painful fate of baby animals that are still small and not yet good at jumping.
Not an ideal environment for animal families to hang around. One little mistake could end a life unfortunately.
I think mountain goats might like areas and terrains like this. They literally survive on Rocky area that's steep and dangerous. No wonder that tree dried up though, perhaps it's not getting enough water from that rocky root.
Great shots.
The higher you go, the more likely you are to see mountain goats yes. The big horned sheep tend to be found at lower elevations.
that first tree.. looks like from some horror movie.. and when in b/w, looks even more dark and lonely..
Gnarly and eerie right?!
Today, after many days, the weather in our country was quite good and it rained a lot in the afternoon, due to which the heat has reduced. Otherwise, the temperature here was above 45.
That is very hot, where do you live?
