Banff and a Bit

DSC08879.jpeg

In the first photo, we have a view of the townsite’s main bridge with a marvellous mountain backdrop! The river running beneath is the mighty Bow; however this time of year (April), the glacial ice has only begun to melt.

In this shot, we have Bow Falls, located less than a kilometre from the previous bridge. Wanna try white water rafting down this stretch of rapids? Probably not right lol.

Another view of the mighty Rundle Mountain. An iconic mountain around this area, with it’s unique V-shaped top. Also one of the longest mountains in the entire park!

In the fourth photo, we have the most famous hotel in the Bow valley, Banff Springs hotel. Featuring 764 guest rooms, a golf course, and the Waldhaus Bavarian restaurant famous for its cheese fondue and schnitzel. Thanks for stopping by.

One of my favourite places to visit on earth. Everyone should go there at least once in a lifetime. Thanks.

Must be nice playing golf with that kind of view in the background isn't it?
do the hotel always occupied all year long?

I have only golfed there once, views are simply amazing. The tourist season has it's peaks and valleys, so it wouldn't be full year round.

It would be a bit too risky for that rafting down that stretch of rapids. But I'd be very comfortable standing beside it and observe the dynamic process play out :)

Those first two shots just take the cake! Absolutely awesome! I love the snow packed peaks behind all of the pines with the beautiful river flowing. What nice place to be visiting next weekend. I like your mono on the last shot, it makes the hotel look ancient. Kind of nice effect. Great pictures!

Such an incredible view it was; can't wait to see what is in store for next weekend! Sun or cloud, rain or shine...forecast is usually not so accurate.
