Bales Galore

DSC09928.jpeg

On that stretch of highway between Pincher Creek and Waterton Lakes park, Alberta are some pretty decent landscape photo ops. Bales here, bales there, bales galore. Wouldn’t you just love to own a nice ranch around here? I certainly would. Some horses, a few cows, and a field or two to tend — I’m in. Farmland like this is most certainly going to be pricey I’m sure. Prime real estate in southern Alberta. How about you, do you live on a farm / countryside or in a city like me (or maybe a small town)? Thanks for stopping by.

Yeah, this is surely going to be expensive because it likes a lot of acres of land and this looks like a property in the prime area of town, so definitely some with some good money owns this..

Great pictures

Wow, it's so beautiful, the rolls look so neat. In my area, straw is left to rot and used as organic fertilizer.

I see, around here it is used for animal feed: cattle, horses, etc.

Awesome choices for b/w! I wouldn't have thought of straw balls being so apt for bw pictures, but it makes sense now looking at them. Thank you for sharing!

Beautiful shots! I love the landscape and the large rolled bails of alfalfa! Like I mentioned I grew up in a remote area where there were alfalfa fields and some orchards. Those are long gone now, all removed and now it's all houses. Sad to see how things changed for the worse...

Thanks for sharing those pictures, I love them! I hope you're weekend is going well, did you get out of town at all?
