Around the Beach in Colour and Black & White

DSC09444.jpeg

Come over here, take your shoes off and let’s wade into the water. The average ocean temperature for mid July, Vancouver Island is around 14°C or 57 Fahrenheit. A comfortable temperature for us Canadians. Compare that to Southern California and you are about 19°C or 68 Fahrenheit — Warmer! The warmer the better I guess, but Vancouver is closer, so I’ll take that. Not to mention, our ocean is somewhat cleaner and less polluted than our southern neighbors. This particular area is called Tonquin beach, the first of several beaches we visited in one quick day trip to this side of the island. So far we are having an absolute blast. Thanks for stopping by.

As usual, when I see the pictures in your posts, I feel like I'm enjoying that beautiful place firsthand. This beach is truly beautiful, the water is crystal clear, and the sand also looks comfortable for walking barefoot.

Do you live close to the ocean yourself?

No. My house is very far from the sea. Even the mountains are far away.

Oh, I see. What is your local area called? I will look it up on a map.

Wonderful photographs but I can't believe that 14 °C is a comfortable temperature for you, in my country that's so cold 😅

Well comfortable for dipping the toes it, but for a swim, maybe cool. Where do you live?

Sure is pretty, but sure is chilly! Even the water here in southern California is colder than I like. I was spoiled living in the Caribbean for too many years where the water was in the high 70's!

That sure is a pretty place, some great pictures! How's the week treating you so far?
