Around the American Rockies in Colour & Black and white

DSC08142.jpeg

The vast majority of my photography takes place inside Canada. Let’s say 99.9% of it. However this time, I’m inside the good ol USA, Glacier Park to be specific. I hope to one day travel to and stay inside this park. Thing is, the Canadian dollar has been relatively weak last couple of years. Therefore, we pay like 35% more for everything. That being said, there are still many many Canadian spots I have not visited yet. So much to do, so little time! Thanks for stopping by.

Well yes Canada is big enough to take some times to visit it all... Have you ever been to the deep north?

the place is so beautiful, the atmosphere looks very peaceful. I imagine being able to sit comfortably in that cabin. it must feel very pleasant, suddenly all the burdens will disappear.

It would be fantastic to spend a few days there, hiking, fishing, kayaking and that kind of stuff!

All I can say is that nature never ceases to amaze me. Look how thick the mountains are.

You mean you have to pay 35% in the US, especially when you're touring the Rockies? That's sad though. What is up with the Canadian dollar?

The Canadian dollar has been "weak" for some time now, compared to the US dollar. As an example: lets say I stay at hotel in canada and pay $100/night, but stay in the same kind of hotel in the states and pay $100/night, but this time that is in US dollars. All of a sudden I’m paying about an extra $35 Canadian/per night out of my pocket. Some things in the US are cheaper, but only some things.

That's understandable. The Nigerian Naira vs the US dollars have been way worse, from the 2000s till now. I think the US dollar is just generally stronger, although they also deal with their own issues of inflation.

Yes, massive inflation, but it is still considered safer than most other currencies. I prefer to save in HBD!

I'd prefer to save in HBD when the opportunity presents itself.

A marvelous quartet of landscapes, especially those B&W versions full of details and perfect decision in composing!

Glaciers sure is pretty! Those are all gorgeous shots! There is still a lot to see on both sides of the border, that's for sure. There is no lack of natural beauty in both our countries!
