Approaching Lower Rowe Lake

Ok, so the decision was made. The hike to the upper lake will need to wait for the next time around. Today, it was only going to be lower Rowe lake. It was sort of a relief actually, one less hour of trail walkin, but mixed feeling about this decision. On one hand, I’ve come all this way so may as well do it, or on the other hand, getting a little tired and it’s getting later on in the afternoon excuse. Let’s go to the lake now. Thanks for stopping by.

wow so beautiful, i love the color of the bushes in the first picture it's so beautiful. can't wait to see the calm water of the lake
Yes the lake was pretty, have some photos coming soon.
When you are exhausted sometimes it's better to go with the path of least resistance. The lower was probably a good call! It is such a pretty trail, you must have been snapping pictures almost non stop out there! I love those young pines growing in the first couple shots, they are finally on their way to be giants.
Fascinating colors of the rocks in the creek there. Most of the rocks are pretty rough edged still, so it must not get a lot of water flow down it to wear them down. But a great shot nonetheless!
Hmmm good point about the water flow. Definitely planning to hit the upper lake next time around, probably ought to head out a bit earlier than usual.
Beautiful color photo graphs. It's never a bad idea to have a CR 450 sitting at the side of the trail about half way through the hike, just in case you get a hankerin' for a full throttle motorcycle experience
Good call bos!

That's what I'm talkin' about
Oh yes
In color, the dimensions are so beautifully striking, and the perspective is flawless; in black and white, the textures really stand out.
Great post—thanks for sharing, @daveks
