Afternoon Hiking

This hike to the Dutch Hoodoos (aka Fairmont Hoodoos) was a quick in and out. I think it took about 90 minutes or so roundtrip. I showed you the hoodoos in a previous post already, for today though, some pics from the return portion of the hike. Once again, only a couple other hikers on this trail (it seems most of the hiking I have done lately has given me the trails to myself—which was awesome!). I suppose trails tend to be busier in the mornings, usually I am an afternoon hiker. I’ll keep it that way. Thanks for stopping by.

Damn man that second shot has depth that just sucks you in.
All I got is flat lake.
"Flat lake" is better than no lake right lol!
Quite a lot of dry grass there, was it very hot?
Nice place
Yes it was on the hot side.
The layering of this photo is very attractive
Thanks, maybe I should have led with that photo as I originally planned. Usually I like to put the best first.
The scenery looks absolutely stunning, and your photos really capture the natural beauty of the area.
Thanks for sharing another wonderful adventure
Glad you liked it...thanks for stopping by.
Yeah I love both the black and white picture,s they are such a nice view, and I like being in such cool places
Thanks for sharing them
Glad you can appreciate both versions, not everyone does.
The last colored picture of that tree looks really different. Did you take it with any device? I mean, the saturation was different and the overall feel to picture too, perhaps it was taken with the iPhone 16?
I double checked and it was with the sony, but I know what you mean. Thanks for stopping by.
Wow, This photo gained so much visual appeal from being in black and white!... It's wonderful!

As you say, it is more appealing in black and white. Agreed, and thanks.

Wow, the scenery this time looks absolutely stunning too; the second image is my favorite.
Thanks @reachdreams.
How do you convert your original photos into black and white? Do you use separate camera? Or is it some kind of editing?
I use Lightroom for editing, it works well!
