A Walk in the Woods

Let’s go, into the woods. We are in the middle of hiking season, at least it was when these photos were taken. Summertime is mostly (but not always) the best time to go hiking. The weather is usually pretty nice up here in Canada. Some days it can be too hot to be on the trail, but mostly the weather is great. This hike took place in East Kootenay, British Columbia, at a place called South Star rec area. At the moment we are planning a return trip to same area in June, to explore deeper into some other areas in the region. Thanks for stopping by.

This is not just any forest. It is a forest that is addictive to visit.
You got that right!
one can really say to be in the wild here! the path is not very very visible, be careful not to get lost!
We did lose the trail a few times actually, but only for minutes..lol
Thanks.
Nice catch on those Canada summer days, some trails up here can get pretty brutal.
True that.
What a beautiful trail and so well maintained. Even has that nice bridge to not get your feet wet! I can see why you are excited to head back, spring is coming!
Love them well manicured bridges, makes the hike more satisfying.
