That was so well earned...
So, I'm back home after a week in Mallorca, and it was well earned, I'd not been abroad since 2015 when I visited Rome for my 40th birthday, this time abroad was for my 50th, I feel like I am getting old now, I can't believe I am 50 lol.
(Sunrise up at the infinity pool on the hotel roof)
Initially my plan for my 50th was to go back to Canada, but sadly funds are lacking, so I decided to go to the place where I first ever went abroad. I am so glad we did, it was so chilled as a holiday, a full recharge, a lot of the resort hadn't opened as we were there early in the season, so walking through some of the streets felt like when lockdown was on, without the mask wearing etc.
A couple more shots from Cala Bona harbour. Again at sunrise.
I really wished I'd taken my camera, but I wanted to travel light, on this occasion. I know I will return again, with my camera in hand lol.
When we got there, we walked to the shops for some bottled water, it had started to rain, then all over a sudden, we had a massive thunderstorm, with hail as well, I was thinking to myself "I hope this isn't going to be like this for the week", in which I am happy to report it wasn't, we had some great warm weather, the hotel I stayed in was brilliant, the staff excellent, they felt like friends by the time we left, if you are considering going to Mallorca, I do highly recommend the Protur Alicia Hotel.
I had a really good explore around the area, including visiting the Cuevas De Drach, and going over a mountain pass on a coach which felt like I was in the film the Italian Job, a future post will come regarding the other visits, but for now, I thought I would post some of my favourite shots from my holiday.
I really can't wait to go back to Mallorca, I love it there.
I hope you like the pictures,
Thanks for reading,
All the best :-)
