On The Moors Enjoying The View.

Yesterday I decided to get out with the camera and get some nice shots seeing as I was having minor surgery today, very minor that is as I was only in for 30 mins lol.

I headed out with the intention of going up Derwent Edge, however there was roadworks everywhere, I had to take a massive diversion and when I got to my destination, there was roadworks there too, so didn't feel comfy leaving the car there, I've not been up Derwent Edge yet so this is on my list for my next visit. I decided to drive on and go onto Stanage Edge instead.

There were sheep everywhere, I do love to see them out on the moors, sadly this little one had got a poorly front leg, although it could still get about.

I love looking at the rock face winding into the distance, although I've never walked the full length of the edge, another thing I want to do in the future, I think it's an 8 mile round trip.

I headed out a bit early, as I wanted to get the nice light although this didn't come until I was on my way back.

I took the drone up as the app said that it wasn't too windy, however my drone had other ideas, especially when trying to land on the rocks, I think it was interfering with the sensors on the bottom of the drone as it tried flying off a couple of times, thankfully I managed to hand catch it, phew.

I made a short video of what footage I shot, including some timelapse photography I did.

The above shot has been edited using AI in photoshop and Skylum Luminar (as well as the usual lightroom and photoshop), I do like how it turned out.

I forgot to take my 150-600mm lens, which was a shame as there were Kestrels everywhere, landing on rocks, hovering near me etc, I would have got some fantastic shots, so I had to crop in on the one below and enhance in lightroom.

When I got home, I was watching the colours changing in the sky, it would have been fantastic on the moors, but I had an early start to get to hospital for my little op, so thought I'd have an early night, not before taking a couple of shots of the clouds.
