Not having much luck...

I'm not having much luck with my photography so far in 2024, and the trend kept going the other day when I went out with the drone.
I'd been visiting my parents and the light was beautiful towards the evening, it was a bit windy earlier on in the day so couldn't take the drone up for a flight before then.
I told my mother that I was going to get off and to got to a location to get a shot that I'd been wanting with the nice light.

I could see some clouds closing in as I drove to the location, but clouds add to the shot, so I wasn't too fussed with them at the time.

Talking of time, as soon as I pulled over into the layby, literally by the second, the sun went behind a massive cloud and didn't come back out.

I couldn't believe it, I hung around for 15-20 minutes and saw that it wasn't going to change, so headed back home.

I still wanted a flight and saw how dramatic the sky was with the intense orange and yellow glow as the sun kissed the horizon, I was hoping it would turn that big grey cloud into a lovely red, sadly, no luck (again).

Then it rained lol....
