Misty mountains and golf in an old underground mine.
So I've been going through more pictures of my trip to Wales, but this time shots from my mobile phone, again this is as we were sriving through the mountains to get to Zip World, they have a few different places around Wales, but the one we were going to was the underground golf.
The weather was constantly changing on our way there, but mainly we had rain. We were heading to Blenau Ffestiniog, which is supposed to be the wettest place in Wales.
Even with the clouds and rain, it certainty added to the atmosphere of Snowdonia national park, or Eryri as its called in Welsh. I think that the weather gave it another worldly feel, I was in my element.
Once we got there, i wasn't sure what to expect, although it was really busy and the main car park was full, we has to find a space in an overrun car park, thankfully we did, but even though younpay entry fees, you still have to pay separately for parking, which i thought to be a bit of a rip off.
I loved getting down to the golf, you had to wear a hard hat, and there was a cool vertical train, it had 3 compartments which seated 6 people in each. I thought the golf was cool, but the train bit was awesome. I didn't know at the time, but there is a deep mine tour in which you get the sane train but go underground even further, that is on my list for the next time I go.
I really loved the lighting in the golf and because it's on different levels, theres a massive slide that you go down to the last too holes.
Overall I recommend this for the experience.
Thanks for reading.
What an exciting adventure! The ever-changing weather and the unique underground golf experience sound absolutely captivating.
