Above The Clouds...

I used to love flying, but I had a bad flight to Turkey way back in 2007 and this made me a bit of a nervous flyer. One thing I do love to do in a flight is watch the clouds, as strange as it sounds I find it soothing and it takes my mind off things. Not only was I a nervous flyer, but a bit of extra anxiety on the flight to Mallorca was that I was flying on a Boeing 737-Max 8, now anyone who knows, these planes didn't have the best start, especially with the M-CAS system which caused a couple of crashes, the planes also got grounded for a while to sort out issues with them (if memory serves me right), so in reality I think they could now be the safest plane to fly in now.

After the flight back, I feel a much more confident flyer, after all as statistics go, flying is still the safest way to travel, and by the end of the flight, I'm starting to love it again, plus if I want to go to Mallorca again, I need to fly lol.

There wasn't many clouds flying over to Mallorca until we got near the Pyranees mountain range in France, but was great to see the sun reflecting on water and the rivers meandering into the sea.

I always love to see clouds from above, that's why I like flying my drone above fog as it looks like clouds lol, I also always imagine how it would be if you could actually jump on them like a giant trampoline, how cool would that be?

As we approached the north coast of Mallorca, we were presented with this absoutely massive Cumulo Nimbus cloud, this cloud dwarfed everything, and even though we flying at 38000 feet this cloud toward above and below us, I thought to myself that I hope we aren't going to fly through that.

(Pollença in Mallorca)

Gladly we altered course and flew across the island from the North East to land at Palma airport.

Apart from a bit of turbulence over the Pyranees the flight was quite pleasant, even nicer on the way home, I really think this has sorted my nervousness when flying, and can't wait until the next time I get the chance to get airside.

I really hope you've enjoyed this post.

Thanks for reading :-)

That big cloud is indeed terrifying. :(

I try not to think about anything when on flights. I tend to sleep. But watching would be a great thing to do.
