Construction of an aspect that is most important for society in general. One of the constructions that the community really needs is roads, with roads people can easily visit from one place to another. On this occasion I would like to explain the procedures and what is needed to work on road pavement.
There are several stages to work on this project, namely:
- MOBILIZATION
Mobilization is bringing in the equipment needed for work, for example, tandem rollers, motor graders, water tank truck, tire rollers, vibratory rollers, asphalt mixing plants,dump truck.
Moto:
This heavy equipment is used to compact the soil so that there are no looseness in the aggregate layer and water does not settle in the aggregate layer so that the road is done as desired and the road can last a long time.
A tandem roller is almost the same as a vibratory roller, only the difference is that a tandem roller is used to compact asphalt while a vibratory roller is used to compact aggregate base A and aggregate base B, the way this tool works is by using vibration according to what you want.
The tire roller can be said to have almost the same task as a tandem roller, only the difference is that first the tandem roller compacts the new asphalt using a tire roller, the function of the tire roller is to compact and smooth the asphalt until the asphalt is ready for direct use by the community.
This water tank truck is used to spray water on the soil surface or aggregate which is being compacted using a vibratory roller so that the aggregate can be easily compacted so that there are no looseness in the aggregate.
The motor grader is used to level the aggregate brought by the dam truck to the location, this compaction is done so that it can be more easily compacted using a vibratory roller and the aggregate is compacted so that it is evenly distributed so that all the areas needed are perfect.
Dump trucks are used to transport aggregate and asphalt, taken from the aggregate and asphalt manufacturing site to the job site using a dump truck.

Preparation of the road body is raking and compacting the surface of the subgrade or old pavement layers that are heavily damaged.
This work aims to dispose of native soil that is not good, the tools used in this work are: Vibrator Roller, Motor Grader
Class B Aggregate Underlay
Class B foundation layer is the subbase layer of the pavement which is located between the foundation layer and the subgrade.
The function of the subbase layer is:
- impregnation layer so that groundwater does not collect in the foundation
- protective layer for the base layer of soil from the effects of weather, especially rain
- As part of pavement construction to spread wheel loads.

Class A Aggregate Underlay
Class A foundation layer is the foundation layer on the part of the pavement which is located between the subbase layer and the surface layer.
The function of this top foundation layer is:
- As an impregnation layer for the bottom foundation
- Provides cushioning against the surface layer
- As a pavement construction that resists the transverse forces of wheel loads.

Asphalt Pavement Work
Prime Coating is the work of sprinkling a mixture of bulk asphalt that has been mixed at high temperatures in a heating tank at the AMP.
Laston work (AC-BC) is the first structural asphalt pavement on the surface of the road body, this work can be carried out on the surface by sprinkling with a layer of absorbent binder or on a layer of pavement.
