Whom do you prefer as a friend, male or female?

So I realized something recently,I have more male friends than females.I have like just one to three female friends,the rest are guys.
I used to have a couple of female friends though when I was younger but as I grew, things got to change,my friend list turned around too.

My opinions:
I know you'd love to know why I have more male friends, and don't be scared,they are all responsible to a reasonable extent. Truth is guys are not hard to be with, they are free spirited, fun loving and they don't take offense for a really long time.I don't know if your opinions differ, but all the guys I've been friends with possess all these behaviors.

Female friends are hard to handle, it's a fun experience but most of the time you'd be arguing about something that doesn't even need arguments or you'll get jealous of your friend because she got something new and you didn't,I get jealous too, sometimes though, yes I know I and my female friends spend a lot of fun times together, but then in all the fun ,I'm selective with words, of why, because we ladies talk a lot,I know there are guys that talk, but it's predominant with the female,we love to gist,in as much as I try hard to respect privacy and not relate what someone has said to me to someone else, I'd love my privacy to be respected too.

Let's talk about betrayal, c'mon sometimes it's your closest female friend who would betray you, some ladies can relate,I'm not saying having female friends are bad,I'm just saying be careful of the ones you keep, even with male friends,I'm quite selective.
What I'm just saying in essence is have good friends and be a good one too.
