Elaeis guneenis is a species of palm commonly known as oil palm or macaw-fat.Elaeis guneenis is the principal source of palm oil
Description
The oil palm bears a single stem and reaches about 20meteres (66feet) in height.it has many tiny flowers crowded on short branches that develops into large Cluster of Oval fruits some 4cm (5.6 inches) long.

It is to produce palm oil which is used for cooking
It can eaten i.e palm nuts
Medicinal benefits
Used to treat infections, infestations,and disorders in the digestive, respiratory, genital etc

The elegant beautiful tree symbolize resilience, victory, fertility, peacee and tranquility
In christian religion the palm fronds are used to show the trumpiant entry of jesus christ on palm sundays
In addition, other parts of the body are also beneficial like the stem which is used for furniture making the hear for palm cabbage and the fronds for roofing.
