Description
It is perennial, low-growing or semi-woody shrub, often used as an ornamental groundcover with Purplish to reddish stem often sprawling with leaves Opposite, simple, usually broad and oval-shaped entire margins, greenish-purple to deep purple.They have small white to pinkish flowers clustered in the leaf axils or at the tips.And they can typically grow up to 60-120cm tall

Uses and benefits
They're Grown in gardens for its bright purple foliage and ground-covering habit.

In places like Brazil, India, and Africa leaves are used for:
Anti-inflammatory and wound-healing purposes, relief of cough,colds, infection and also encoded with antioxidant amd immune boosting properties.

Used to control soil erosion.
