Passing through Ubeda
(Edited)
This time it was my turn to go to the city of Ubeda in Jaén, which together with Baeza was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO on July 3, 2003, due to the quality and good preservation of its many Renaissance buildings and its unique urban environment.
It is located in the autonomous community of Andalusia is a picturesque place, small in size and with an equally moderate number of inhabitants.
Legend has it that this city was founded by Tombal, a descendant of Noah, and that it already existed in the Copper Age, which is why it is considered the oldest city in Western Europe.
The highlight is undoubtedly the old Hospital of Santiago which is a national monument and is currently used as a cultural center, exhibition and conference center and library.

This is the Plaza Andalucía where you can see La torre del Reloj, in the center of Úbeda next to the statue of General Saro and you can climb up to where the clock is and see the whole city.

This is Mesones street
All the pictures were taken with my inseparable Minolta digital camera.
