A visit to The Castle of Santa Olalla de Cala
During my visit to Huelva I met up with some friends who live in Jerez de la Frontera and together we went to visit the Castle of Santa Olalla de Cala, built by Sancho IV el Bravo in 1293 and later reinforced on several occasions between 1386-87.
A tourist place in the Province of Andalusia which is a very popular destination and which was rescued at the end of the 20th century after serving as a Municipal Cemetery during the 19th and early 20th centuries and after its closure in 1917, it entered a period of abandonment which transformed it into ruins.
Nowadays it can be visited by prior reservation on weekdays or from 10 am to 6 pm on weekends and holidays.
The following are pictures of the place, one of them shows my friend Loli as a model y and her partner Francisco..

This is a map of the village of "Santa Olalla del Cala" marked in the lower left part of the map are the Hermitage, the Mirador, the Wall and the Castle.

All photos were taken with my Minolta Digital camera.
