A few hours in El Ferrol
This time for work reasons I had to go to El Ferrol, a beautiful coastal city located in Galicia, where in addition to shipyards of the merchant navy there are also military shipyards.
It is very visited by pilgrims who disembark at its port to continue their journey to Santiago de Compostela.
It has a good hotel network because it is an active tourist destination where visitors can swim, windsurf, surf, bodyboard or take a boat ride.
I spent a few hours there and promised myself to return with the family some other time.

Here I show you a picture of the Municipal Palace or Concello de Ferrol, which was remodeled and now looks like this.

In the Palace square is the church of Our Lady of Carmen del Ferrol built in 1923.

In this you can see the Herrera Gardens, a viewpoint over the Arsenal and the estuary of Ferrol. They are located at the back of the Palace of Captaincy and the Parador de Turismo de Ferrol. Access is free, and it is a beautiful outdoor space.

The following two photographs are of one of the beaches in the area of San Xenxo.
All photos taken with my Minolta digital camera.
