Nature’s Quiet Surprises in Jorge Coll [Esp/Eng]

Hola a todos. Días atrás estuve acompañando a mi mamá a realizar algunas diligencias, y ese día nos tocó ir a Jorge Coll, una urbanización ubicada en Pampatar. Es una zona con un ambiente residencial muy tranquilo; como tiene gran cantidad de árboles grandes, se puede caminar en la tarde y sentir mucha brisa. Así fue ese día que estaba con mi mamá. Mientras íbamos caminando, me encontré con un parque que solía visitar cuando era pequeña. Me acerqué para pasar un rato con mi mamá en los columpios y me sorprendió el estado en que estaba todo. Ya no era el mismo parque de antes. Aun así, me detuve un rato a observar sus plantas, ya que me llamó la atención darme cuenta de que había una de limón de monte. Es una planta con usos tanto medicinales como ecológicos. También había un gran árbol de neem, que es muy valorado porque posee propiedades medicinales y repelentes.

Por otro lado, encontramos un cactus con una tuna. Mi mamá me dijo que en algunas partes tiene usos culinarios, como en jugos y mermeladas. Me gustó dar este paseo con ella y ver estas distintas plantas que estaban muy frondosas. Me imagino que es por tantas lluvias últimamente. Gracias por leer mi post. Espero que les haya gustado. Hello everyone. A few days ago, I was accompanying my mom to run some errands, and that day we had to go to Jorge Coll, a neighborhood located in Pampatar. It's a very peaceful residential area; since it has many large trees, you can go for a walk in the afternoon and feel a nice breeze. That’s exactly how it was that day with my mom.

As we were walking, I came across a park I used to visit when I was little. I went over to spend a moment with my mom on the swings, and I was surprised by the condition of everything, it wasn’t the same park it used to be. Even so, I stopped for a while to look at the plants, and I was struck by the fact that there was a limón de monte plant. It’s a plant known for both its medicinal and ecological uses. There was also a large neem tree, which is highly valued for its medicinal and insect-repellent properties.

We also found a cactus with a tuna fruit. My mom told me that in some places, it’s used in cooking, like in juices and jams. I really enjoyed taking this walk with her and seeing all these different plants, which looked especially lush, probably because of all the rain lately.
