A walk through colors: A tribute to art [Esp/Eng]

As I walked through Parque Costazul yesterday, after a morning at university, I noticed that its fair was more crowded than usual, lots of people eating and chatting. As I walked a little further, I realized it was because an art fair was taking place, so I took a moment to appreciate the artworks.

I saw that there were several stands created by children, paying tribute to different artists. Each stand recreated the art style of the artist being honored. In addition, each table included a lapbook, which is a creative educational tool that helps organize information in a fun and visual way. It’s a kind of large trifold display, usually made with cardstock, featuring flaps, pockets, windows, drawings, and other interactive elements. They were all beautifully decorated, you could clearly see the effort and dedication in each one.

The first stand I saw was about the Kandinskians, pioneers of abstract art, who used bold colors and geometric shapes like circles, lines, and triangles in their works.

Then I came across one dedicated to Frida Kahlo, a Mexican artist with a unique style. The stand was decorated with flowers and included replicas of some of her paintings.

Next was a stand devoted to Josué Benjamín, a young Venezuelan artist who has captured hearts with his plasticine sculptures. This stand took up two tables due to the large number of figures, featuring all kinds of styles and recreations of animated characters. This was the one I liked the most, it felt so fun and lively.

The next stand I saw focused on Claude Monet, a very well-known French painter. His works seemed centered on light, color, and the perception of the moment.

The final stand was inspired by Romero Britto, a Brazilian artist whose style blends pop art, cubism, and graffiti. I noticed that his works were full of geometric shapes, vibrant colors, and patterns, all designed to convey hope, joy, and optimism.

Mientras transitaba ayer por el Parque Costazul, luego de una mañana en la universidad, me fijé en que su feria estaba más llena de lo usual, muchas personas comiendo y conversando. Al caminar un poco más, me di cuenta de que se estaba llevando a cabo una feria de arte, así que me tomé un momento para apreciar las obras.

Me di cuenta de que había varios stands realizados por niños, rindiendo homenaje a distintos artistas. Cada stand recreaba el arte del artista homenajeado. Además, cada mesa contaba con un lapbook, que es una herramienta educativa creativa que permite organizar información de forma visual y divertida. Se trata de una especie de tríptico grande, hecho generalmente con cartulina, que incluye solapas, bolsillos, ventanas, dibujos y otros elementos interactivos. Todos estaban muy bien decorados, se notaba el esfuerzo y la dedicación en cada stand.

El primero que vi era sobre los Kandinskianos, pioneros del arte abstracto, que utilizaban colores llamativos y figuras geométricas como círculos, líneas y triángulos en sus obras.

Luego me encontré con uno sobre Frida Kahlo, una artista mexicana con un estilo único. El stand tenía flores como decoración, así como unas réplicas de obras de la artista.

Después, había un stand dedicado a Josué Benjamín, un niño artista venezolano que ha conquistado corazones con sus esculturas de plastilina. Este stand ocupaba dos mesas por la gran cantidad de figuras de plastilina, había de todos los estilos, recreando distintos personajes de dibujos animados. Este stand fue el que más me gustó, me parece que se ve muy divertido.

El siguiente stand que vi fue el de Claude Monet, un pintor francés muy reconocido. Sus obras parecían estar enfocadas en la luz, el color y la percepción del momento.

El último stand estaba inspirado en Romero Britto, un artista brasileño, con un estilo que combina arte pop, cubismo y grafiti. Pude observar que sus obras están llenas de formas geométricas, colores vibrantes y patrones, todo con el objetivo de transmitir esperanza, alegría y optimismo.
