I havenāt been able to hit the skatepark lately, but Iāve been practicing at homeākeeping that energy flowing however I can.
Right now, Iām testing out a Zoo York complete setup, and itās sparked some curiosity. Truth is, back in the early 2000s, Iām not sure Zoo York boards were even around my areaāor maybe they were just under the radar. My go-to brands were Black Label, Birdhouse, and Independent trucks.
This setup includes Zoo York trucks, wheels, and bearings, all branded. The standout feature is the deckās widthāIām used to 7.5" decks, and this oneās definitely wider. Itās made foot placement trickier at first, but Iāve gotta say: I really like it. Great shape, solid stability, and a super nice pop that makes it a joy to ride, even in limited space.

Set up looks fine! I personally never skated Zoo York stuff so I don't have experience with the brand, but always enjoyed watching Chaz Ortiz shredding for Zoo York hehe!
That's exactly what I thought too, boards are meant to be shredded! If it doesnāt last long, Iāll figure it out. At least I know the shape, kicks, and concave are legit pro deck specs. Thanks for the good vibes and motivation, bro š¤ā
zoo york got bought by a bigger company. zoo york is shit. they sell boards at K-mart now. seek out some independent trucks. but for now, get your tricks back yo. build those muscles
