Today marked my comeback—my return to skating after so many years. And this time, it wasn't on some random street or quiet lot, but inside a real, dedicated skatepark, right at the entrance of Parque Metropolitano in San Cristóbal, Venezuela. Back in the early 2000s, places like this were rare: parks closed quickly, were private, or lacked the space and structure to grow with your wheels.

The surface is just brilliant—smooth and grippy, perfect for tricks and speed. The ramps, rails, and inclined planes are thoughtfully built, clean, and offer an incredibly comfortable ride. I’ve heard there are more walls up the hill that I didn’t get to explore today—but I’ll show you those soon.

The whole park was buzzing due to a public event being celebrated nearby: kids laughing, mothers chasing little ones, families rolling around on skates and bikes. It made taking photos tough and exploring freely a challenge, so I settled into one area and made it mine for the day.

And the cherry on top? Reuniting with some legendary skaters from the old days—my friends, my crew, the ones who taught me what grit and style meant on four wheels. We caught up, traded stories, and even landed some basic tricks together. For me, just landing the simplest ones after hours of practice felt incredible.

This place has energy, history, and everything a skater could ask for. And now, I’m part of it again. 🧢🔥🛹

Patinaje, reencuentros, regreso
