This time of year, the landscape steals the show. Evolves so quickly from green to nothing, I barely got enough time to sneak in a joke!

It's so quick, huh? Friends ask when's the best time to come see. A year ago I said, last week of October, first week in November. I don't think it's quite two weeks though. More like 10 days'ish and.. ~poof.

One time when I lived in Texas where they don't have many leaves like here in NC, my Mom sent me an assortment in a box. I took them out and put them on a heart tray. They did dry and curl, however, since they were dry the whole time, they did not turn brown except for some very small ones that I believe were Pin Oak leaves. I didn't know they would stay somewhat colorful if they stayed dry. I kept them a long time.

Oh damn, even autumn looks more beautiful in your corner of the world with those gorgeous colors. Luckily Skipper doesn't care much about colors, he just enjoys his new toy. And gets a good rest after playing intensively.
I love having someone to gawk over dog pictures with. Skipper's got a helluva smile. Rub his ears for me and OMG at the gas lanterns in the cabinet behind him! I haven't seen one of those in.. I don't even know.
I had my mothers' when I was a kid. I burned it all the time. Refuel it, burn it. Think I even changed the wick a couple times. Must've been 4n1/2 decades ago. No idea what happened to that thing. Blue, like yours.
