Walking through Piazza Venezia 🏛️ Rome - Italy

Hello dear readers of Hive and PeakD, I hope you are very well, happy start of the weekend, it's Friday and it's time to rest for those who had a heavy weekly workday, for those who work these days: lots of encouragement and strength to carry it with good vibes 🖖 I share with you one of my many posts showing you my little tour in the streets of Rome, this time I present you Piazza Venezia which has several monuments in it and different and important works and buildings for both the Italian community and for visitors who love history.

• Cordonata Capitolina

Siendo sincera he tenido muchas emociones encontradas en este pequeño viaje, monumentos y cosas super lindas que he logrado ver y no me lo puedo creer. Aunque lo veía lejos estando en la unión Europea no tenía planes aún de viajar a esta linda Ciudad, ni siquiera pensaba salir de Madrid. La Cordonata Capitolina es una pendiente como su nombre lo dice, su largo camino de escaleras fue pensado exclusivamente para el fácil acceso de hombres a caballo. Las dos grandes esculturas que miran a los lados son Dioscuros, héroes mellizos Castor y Pólux. Dos estatuas de leones que adornan la entrada y en medio de la Cordonata una estatua de Cola di Rienzo, en el sitio exacto de su ejecución.

To be honest I have had many mixed emotions in this little trip, monuments and super nice things that I have managed to see and I can not believe it. Although I saw it far away being in the European Union I had no plans yet to travel to this beautiful city, I was not even thinking of leaving Madrid. The Cordonata Capitolina is a slope as its name says, its long path of stairs was designed exclusively for the easy access of men on horseback. The two large sculptures facing the sides are Dioscuri, twin heroes Castor and Pollux. Two statues of lions adorn the entrance and in the middle of the Cordonata a statue of Cola di Rienzo, in the exact place of his execution.

Es una de las plazas más importantes de Roma ubicada en la Colina Capitolina. La convergen 5 calles que te permiten conectar con el centro de forma más rápida y sencilla y son tan importantes como tal Plaza. Puedes identificarla por sus grandes monumentos como es Victor Manuel II ubicado en ella, tiene un gran león renacentista como símbolo de dominio de la República de Venezia sobre esa ciudad.

It is one of the most important squares of Rome located on the Capitoline Hill. It converges 5 streets that allow you to connect to the center in a faster and easier way and are as important as such a square. You can identify it by its great monuments such as Victor Emmanuel II*** located in it, has a large Renaissance lion as a symbol of dominance of the Republic of Venice over the city.

• Cola di Rienzo

Una de las cosas que me encantó es que la Ciudad es tan bonita que no necesitas tomar transporte para llegar o visitar alguna cosa. Sí que es verdad que se hace mucho más fácil con el transporte visitar ciertos lugares, pero es que en cada esquina hay algo diferente y hermoso y caminar es un orgasmo visual, cada monumento y estructura te enamora a medida que te adentras a la Ciudad.

One of the things I loved is that the city is so beautiful that you don't need to take transportation to get there or visit anything. Yes it is true that it is much easier with transportation to visit certain places, but in every corner there is something different and beautiful and walking around is a visual orgasm, every monument and structure makes you fall in love as you enter the city.

Hay muchas escaleras y se puede observar que a los lados hay decoraciones con esculturas y relieves. También podemos encontrar en Palacio Bonaparte donde vivió la madre de Napoleón hasta su muerte.

There are many stairs and you can see that on the sides there are decorations with sculptures and reliefs. We can also find in Palacio Bonaparte where Napoleon's mother lived until her death.

• Instituto per le storia del Resorgimiento Italiano.

Una de las cosas que más me encantó de esta zona, es este edificio, es un instituto dedicado a la historia del proceso de la unificacion italiana o también llamado como El Resurgimiento, que fue un movimiento político en los años XIX que buscó la unificación de diferentes territorios de italia específicamente en la peninsula en un solo reino. Tiene un Museo, una biblioteca y más el instituto que ofrece información y materiales originales del Resurgimiento para investigadores y estudiantes.

One of the things I loved the most about this area is this building, it is an institute dedicated to the history of the Italian unification process or also called The Risorgimento, which was a political movement in the XIX century that sought the unification of different territories of Italy specifically in the peninsula into a single kingdom. It has a museum, a library and an institute that offers information and original materials of the Risorgimento for researchers and students.
