On cold winter days in Madrid, life seems to move at a slower, more predictable pace. Mornings are repetitive, with coats zipped up to the neck, smoke from breath escaping from mouths, and the constant sound of footsteps on wet sidewalks. The subway, cafés, and the same streets traveled over and over again create a silent routine that is accepted almost without thinking. However, when evening falls, something gently breaks that monotony: the sunsets. Today, for a few minutes, the sky was painted with orange tones that reflected off the buildings and reminded us that, even in the most routine of things, there is always a small gesture of beauty waiting to be seen by someone.

En Madrid, en estos días fríos de invierno, la vida simula avanzar con un ritmo más lento y predecible. Las mañanas repetitivas entre abrigos cerrados hasta el cuello, la humedad escapando de la boca por em frío y el sonido constante de los pasos sobre aceras mojadas. El metro, los cafés, las mismas calles recorridas una y otra vez construyen una rutina silenciosa que se acepta casi sin pensar. Sin embargo, cuando car la tarde, algo rompe suavemente esa monotonía: los atardeceres. Hoy, por unos minutos, el cielo se dejó ver y pintó con tonos naranjas que reflejaban en los edificios y nos recuerdan que, incluso en lo más rutinario, siempre hay un pequeño gesto de belleza esperando ser mirado por alguien.

And that's when you understand that, even wrapped up in all this monotony, life never loses its value. In that daily repetition, in the cold that forces you to huddle up, and in the days that seem the same, boring, there is a simple, discreet beauty that doesn't need grand gestures. Routine sustains, shapes, and in its simplicity lies a silent balance. To be grateful for those sunsets that paint the sky is also to be grateful for the everyday: the little habits, the same paths we take for granted, the calm that comes from knowing what to expect. Because even when everything seems the same, life is still beautiful and possible precisely because of that, because of its constant and clear simplicity.

Y es entonces cuando se entiende que, aun envuelta en toda esta monotonía, la vida nunca pierde su valor. En esa repetición diaria, en el frío que obliga a recogerse y en los días que parecen iguales, aburridos, hay una belleza simple, discreta que no necesita grandes gestos. La rutina sostiene, da forma, y en su simplicidad se esconde un equilibrio silencioso. Agradecer esos atardeceres que pintan el cielo es también agradecer lo cotidiano: los pequeños hábitos, los mismos caminos que no agradecemos, la calma que nace de saber qué esperar. Porque incluso cuando todo parece igual, la vida sigue siendo hermosa y posible precisamente por eso, por su sencillez constante y clara.

Today I spent a few hours of my day photographing the sky, the dry trees, and some buildings that adorn my neighborhood to remind myself that winter will soon be over and we will miss this rich and nostalgic climate. I felt melancholic, but happy. That's life: at any moment, it can give you bursts of inspiration, criticism, and analysis. I missed stopping to look at the sky and longing for things for no reason, because that's how I am. I turn my life into a drama; romanticizing is often underrated.

Hoy dedique algunas horas de mi día a fotografiar el cielo, los árboles secos y algunos edificios que adornan mi barrio para recordar que pronto se acabará el invierno y echaremos de menos este rico y nostálgico clima. Me sentí melancólica, pero feliz, así es la vida, en cualquier momento te da choques de inspiración, critica y análisis. Extrañaba detenerme a mirar el cielo y añorar cosas sin motivo, porque así soy, transformo mi vida en un drama, romantizar suele estar infravalorado.
