Hey #photogrtaphylovers
This is Danaidh B from Scotland here

Summer Fruits are just around the corner...
So I believe Spring is upon us!!! and I had been lagging a bit...

I was out walking with the dog the other day and I was wearing a hoodie, a warm coat, and a hat on, the sun was blaring down and I thought to myself.. "damn it, spring is here, its hot today! and what the hell happened to 2022?? OMG" I then looked at the abundance of beautiful flora and fauna spewing masses of diverse species with saplings and budlings bursting with scents and sceneries and wildlife rushing to get their daily fix of food and nutrients with caution from any bigger creature. I was stopped in my tracks by these absolutely stunning raspberry flowers screaming at me to come and appreciate them. I love this "almost-explicit" looking flower every year. It is a sexy little flower with loads of raunch and packs a punch in the spring to attract pollinators.

The smell of this was probably outstanding but the day I captured this beauty here I had a stinking cold and couldn't smell anything!!!
You can see the unbloomed flowers look just like unformed raspberries, you can see how the flower turns into the fruit's recognisable scrumptious shape and appearance.
Here in Scotland we probably have the tastiest fruits in the world!! and produce and grow some of the best varieties true to our heritage and pride in our local berry/fruit-bearing plants.

Just look at these Cherry Trees with the beautiful blossoms still on the branches soon to shed their beauty on the ground with tiny little pink and white love heart-shaped petals. Lest we forget the obvious yellow icons of Spring Time in Britain, the Daffodils.

I love the subtle complimentary and contrasting colours going on here, the yellow daffodils punching off the green grass and stems, the blue reflection from the sky on the duck pond slightly clashing with the daffodils but complimented by the green before getting to each other. Also, the pink petals contrast with the silhouettes of the fractal branches.

The squirrels are clearly everywhere, which my dog absolutely loves!!! although it is very hard to photograph wildlife with a big bouncy puppy scaring everything away so I can really only photograph plants an objects etc..
The squirrels are very fond of pine trees, they have many uses for many different species including antibacterial properties for nests and homes, food for all (even humans), high in oil and sap/resin and much more!
For some reason the squirrels always leave a little bit of the pine, Ive never seen a fully chewed one before haha..

I don't know/can't remember what flower this is called (possibly cornflower?) but wow is it pretty! The colours of the blue are being turned lilac and opaque with the light coming down... Lovely :)

The fly in the centre of the photo had photo-bombed me as I snapped it! hahaha cheeky.. looks cool though.

"Poor Pheasant" or "Feasted Fox" ???

This is the pigeon that was born outside our window in the huge Eucalyptus Blue Gum Tree. it has returned everyday since it was born. Last year it had found a partner and it came to make a nest inside our window sill! We left it for about 6 days, until a windy storm came and blew it out the window down a long way (4 flights) to the garden. It was so nice to see them up so close in our own house nesting, mating and cleaning each other.

I just love the way the stamens and pollen have a clean shadow on the crisp white petals.. awhh just heaven...

Just look at this young male deer only about 15ft away from me just resting calmly in a bush. He was NOT shy because he was so young but his mother was just out the picture and she was wary. Unfortunately just along in the next patch of forest I found his sister's carcass, half eaten, and half blue.. what a shame!

This photo took me about 1 hour and 45 minutes to get a good clean shot of these two damsel flies mating. They kept moving so fast and unpredictably and kept changing mating partners so quickly but I eventually got them!

Many thanks for viewing my work.
It seems so simple but all the hours, hard work, dedication, and long walks I do to get some of my inspiration and shots, but its all worth it no matter what i do with these photos.
Much Love
