Owl Show You a Few Feathered Friends, Come have a LOOK!!!
Hello @featheredfriends community! š¦ š¦š¦š„
This is @danaidhbee posting to you all the way from Scotland!
Today I would like to share with you some of my shots from the āScottish Owl Centreā that I just visited on Saturday there.
(There are some more photos and information on my post from the other day so please feel free to stop by and have a look and read if you like).

It was AMAZING!! They hold the worlds largest collection of Owls and I would Highly recommend that you take a visit when you are in Scotland, or just make a trip over here exclusively to see these amazing birds!
Just take a look at some of these formidable apex predatorsā¦ Stunning!
This is an āOriental Bay Owlā it has an unusual appearance with its eyes slanted upright, a bit different than the usual owl eye-shape? Also it was balancing on one leg whilst it was sleeping. (I think I woke him/her up!) Iāve never seen or heard of an owl like it before.Beautiful!
This is a āEurasian Owlā the largest owl breed in the world. This magnificent bird is called āAltaiā named after the Altai Mountains in Siberia. She has a wingspan of just over 6ft and can turn her head up to 220 degrees left and right.
I believe this is a āBlack Banded Owlā. It one wasnāt too happy to see me with a camera pointing in its enclosure and started to hiss and click its tongue at me, it must have felt threatened, so I just got a quick snap and left it alone in peace.
We all know this one Iām sure, this is the āSnowy Owlā what a sweet little face! (To us) Not sweet to a prey animal anyway! Thatās the worst face they wanna see, especially when itās half way down the owls throat!
YUMMY!! š„š
Iām not sure about this last Owl, but it sure is pretty, and also a little scary looking!?
Owls are silent fliers and the lay eggs but apparently donāt build nests, interesting!.
If you ever come to Scotland put this on your to-do-list/bucket list/things to do before you die. Worth the visit and I would definitely go back again and again!
They protect and maintain these owls lives and really do an amazing job of preserving their species and genetics wherever they can. I could have stayed there all day if my camera had the battery! My phone and laptop are full of owl pictures! I need to sift through them all haha.
Thanks for flying by to see the Owls here in Scotland, I hope you enjoyed them as much as I did.

This is so amazing, to see all of them owls in one place. Fascinating birds, so hard to be seen in the wild.

So hard to see in the wild, Iāve only ever seen one and that was 25 years ago!
