Este sector se considera en verdadero centro de la ciudad allí cerca esta el teatro Luís Mariano Rivera y allí cerca esta el tamarindo bicentenario, cuenta una leyenda que en una de las visitas de Simón Bolívar hizo a la ciudad, se sentó debajo del tamarindo, este es referencia para localizar direcciones cercanas.
