The best anecdote

Hello friends @cinnccf here I come with one of the best anecdotes that I have been told in a coffee shop, which by the way are many that I have, because usually, going to a coffee shop is to go to meet with friends and as is well known when friends get together is a very special time to catch up with the latest events that have happened in our lives.

Today's anecdote is with one of my best friends, my daughter, whom I visited five months ago. During this visit we had a lot of rapport and among the things I realized was that her long distance relationship, for more than six years, with a young Indian man, was showing signs that she was heading towards a more serious, more formal relationship.

Both had already left their home countries, both had completed postgraduate studies, he already had a formal job in an English company, she was pursuing her dream job and had obtained Spanish nationality. Among the few things that came out were details that AJ did not like the idea of having children either, that they would both like to live near the sea and things like that.

Indí is not a coffee person, but she loves a coffee shop to drink tea, eat sweets and share pleasant moments. That particular day we were very close to say goodbye until further notice, we went for a walk to a nearby city, Tarragona, and after walking through its most emblematic places he invited me for a coffee telling me that he wanted to tell me something important.

Her virtual friend had proposed to her and she had said yes. I couldn't get over my astonishment and I said to her in a rush: But how are you going to marry a man you don't know, how are you going to do it if he is in England and you are in Spain... She told me with gestures and words: Calm down, calm down, it seems you don't know your daughter, I'm not that crazy. I set some conditions and let's see what comes out.

The first thing is that we have to meet (because of paperwork issues they have not done it) I told him that before a definitive yes I had to smell it, touch it, feel it, kiss it to know if there was that current of emotions that produces to be with the partner you love and that he also had to know if there was that feeling with me. He concluded by saying that they were working on it, that soon he would look for a meeting to know if it was or not. I liked his answer, relationships today are different, and it seems that anything goes.

The matter does not end there he continued, the most probable thing is that we will have to marry in England, and then I will ask for it here in Spain with the figure of reunification, and then he wants us to go to marry in India because otherwise for his family the union would not be valid.

My alarms had already been deactivated, and my good mood returned, so I answered him:

-It doesn't matter mommy, get married in as many countries as you want as long as you take me to each of your weddings. We burst out laughing, and she was very pleased hugging me and said:

-Mommy, you're always with your things, I'm sure you will be there.

It's so exciting that your daughter is willing to take that important step. It says something important about her character now that young people don't seem to be as attracted to married life as before. Anyway, she seems smart; I'd also want to see, touch, and kiss my fiance before saying, "I do," hehe. Chemistry is important; besides having common goals and a similar take on life in general, one's senses need to accept and like that special person.

Cheers ☕️

My dear friend @damarysvibra, definitely beauty inherits what a beautiful daughter you have.
Waoooo! your daughter is getting married what a thrill!!!!! I understand that things are not following the routine paths, they are however, I feel that your conditions are valid
Good thing you're conversation was generated in the middle of coffee, so you can take things in stride.
A hug friend

It is a very interesting anecdote and told over a cup of coffee even better. A long distance relationship and marriage and all, but well, you can see the maturity of your daughter and you will see if she really found that spark to move forward. Good one, you should go to every country for every wedding, greetings and may everything go well for your daughter.
