Today I went to visit the Torredembarra lighthouse. I had reference to it because my son on several occasions has sent me photos of beautiful sunrises in that place and although we did not go at dawn I was enchanted with this majestic lighthouse.

Lighthouses, like so many objects created by man, enclose a symbolism that refers to the inner illumination, the guide we can find to follow our path of life or the certainty that we can have that we are traveling the most convenient route, perhaps that is why lighthouses have always caught my attention and this tour is part of the vacation plan of the places I wanted to visit on these sides of the world. Hoy he ido a conocer el Faro de Torredembarra. Tenía referencia de él porque mi hijo en varias oportunidades me ha enviado fotos de bellos amaneceres en ese lugar y aunque no fuimos al amanecer quedé encantada con este majestuoso faro.

Los faros, como tantos objetos creados por el hombre, encierran una simbología que hace referencia a la iluminación interior, al guía que podemos encontrar para seguir nuestro camino de vida o a la certeza que podemos tener de que vamos transitando la ruta más conveniente, quizás por ello, los faros, siempre han llamado mi atención y este paseo forma parte del plan vacacional de los lugares que quería visitar por estos lados del mundo. We arrived at the indicated place at about nine o'clock in the morning, a stony sandy path demarcated to indicate the route to follow. The journey from this point to the lighthouse is approximately 20 minutes uphill, the first part of which has these stairs. As we advance we leave behind a marina.

Llegamos al lugar indicado como a las nueve de la mañana, un sendero de arena pedregoso demarcado para indicar la ruta a seguir. El recorrido desde este punto al faro es de aproximadamente 20 minutos en ascenso que en su primera parte tiene estas escaleras. A medida que avanzamos vamos dejando atrás una marina.

Giving way to the real natural coastal path. Along the path on the right side you can see urbanized spaces, on the left side the sea opens up in all its splendor.

Dando paso al verdadero sendero natural de costa. A lo largo del camino del lado derecho se observan espacios urbanizados, del lado izquierdo se abre el mar en todo su esplendor.

The morning is cool and as we approach the lighthouse, although dark clouds are visible the forecast is that it will not rain, that it will be a sunny day worthy of being enjoyed on the beach.

There are other areas of the path with not very tall but leafy trees that provide shade and coolness to the visitor.

La mañana está fresca y a medida que nos acercamos al faro, aunque se ven nubes oscuras el pronóstico es que no lloverá, que será un día soleado digno de ser disfrutado en la playa.

Hay otras zonas del camino con árboles no muy altos pero frondosos que dan sombra y frescor al visitante.

At the top we find these two beautiful trees. The path is quite busy, you find people who do it with the purpose of walking and you know, like us, others with sporting purposes so they go jogging and even, in the bends of the cliff, you find groups preparing for fishing.

En la cima encontramos estos dos bellos árboles. El camino es bastante transitado, encuentras personas que lo hacen con la finalidad de pasear y conoce, como nosotros, otras con fines deportivos por lo que van trotando e incluso, en los recodos del acantilado, encuentras grupos preparándose para la pesca.

As soon as you start the descent you see, not far away, the lighthouse.

A penas comienzas el descenso observas, no muy lejos, el faro.

Until we reach it. Here we have it in all its splendor, a column of 38 meters that with its light of 31 kilometers of range guides the navigators.

Hasta que llegamos a él. Aquí lo tenemos en todo su esplendor, una columna de 38 metros que con su luz de 31 kilómetros de alcance guía a los navegantes.

At the base we find these two plaques that provide the main data, it is also possible to contact for a visit to know its interior.

En la base encontramos estas dos placas que proporcionan los datos principales, también es posible contactar para una visita para conocer su interior.

On one side there are two concrete benches and there it is easy to have conversations for reflection or looking at the horizon line you are not surprised that there are people who are raised at this point that the planet is square instead of round and so between one conversation and another we finished the walk of the sentero that leads to a small beach that just cross a stretch and you are in the neighboring village.

A un lado hay dos bancos de concreto y allí es fácil que surjan conversaciones para la reflexión o mirando la línea del horizonte no te sorprende que existan personas que se planteen a estas alturas que el planeta es cuadrado en vez de redondo y así entre una conversación y otra terminamos de realizar la caminata del sentero que desemboca en una pequeña playa que con solo cruzar un trecho ya te encuentras en el pueblo vecino.

For the return we took another route in which we left almost in front of the marina and in a concrete passage, you can see the limestone rock that supports the entire hill and that according to the locals, at some point, was seabed.

Para el retorno tomamos otra ruta en la que salimos casi frente a la marina y en un pasaje ya de concreto, se puede observar la roca calcárea que sirve de soporte a toda la loma y que según los lugareños, en algún momento, fue lecho marino.

With this we finish our visit to the Torredembarra Lighthouse, a place full of charm and that harmoniously combines the work of nature with the human work.

Con esto terminamos nuestra visita al Faro de Torredembarra, un lugar lleno de encanto y que compagina armoniosamente la obra de la naturaleza con la obra humana.
