Saludos amigos de @pinmapple. Ya me quedan pocos días de permanencia en España, específicamente, en la provincia de Cataluña en la que me encuentro visitando a mis hijos. Desde el momento que llegué sabía que iríamos en algún momento a Barcelona, pues es una de las grandes ciudades del mundo y que a mis hijos les encanta ir de vez en cuando para llenarse de esa vibra capitalina, visitar lugares, tomar fotografías y disfrutar de sus excentricidades.
Así que el domingo 10 de septiembre se presentó como el día ideal, nos levantamos, arreglamos algunas cosas y nos alistamos para este agradable paseo. Hoy les comparto a través de las fotografías parte de la experiencia vivida en esta ciudad que llena de asombro por su belleza, dinamismo y contradicciones.
Desde donde estamos ubicados hasta Barcelona es aproximadamente una hora en carro. Tomamos la autopista y con un espléndido día iniciamos el camino.

So Sunday, September 10th was the ideal day, we got up, fixed a few things and got ready for this pleasant walk. Today I share with you through photographs part of the experience lived in this city that fills you with amazement for its beauty, dynamism and contradictions.
From where we are located to Barcelona is about an hour by car. We took the highway and with a splendid day we started our way.
Uno de los primeros lugares que llama la atención cuando te acercas a la ciudad es una pequeña montaña con una construcción que no logras definir con claridad, pero que cuando te aclaran que es el cementerio, aun en la distancia y con velocidad logras distinguir las edificaciones con sus nichos, es muy curioso, asemeja a una ciudad antigua con sus ruinas, de las cuales hay muchas de ellas por toda la región.

Desde la autopista me mostraron el lugar que visitaríamos primero: El Castillo de Montjuic. Un lugar histórico que en otras oportunidades había deseado conocer y hoy llegaba el momento. Mi nieta de cinco añitos y yo estábamos muy emocionadas, las dos era la primera vez que íbamos y a medida que nos acercábamos al lugar nuestras expectativas crecían, la verdad es que los cuatro estábamos muy contentos.
From the highway they showed me the place we would visit first: Montjuic Castle. A historic place that I had wanted to visit on other occasions and today it was time. My five year old granddaughter and I were very excited, it was the first time we were going and as we approached the place our expectations grew, the truth is that the four of us were very happy.
Mientras subíamos a la segunda estación, que es donde se encuentra el castillo, la vista es hermosa. Se ve toda la ciudad de Barcelona, a lo lejos sobresale la famosa iglesia La Sagrada Familia. De esta vista salió el título de este post, pues mi nieta al ver esta imagen se ubicó enseguida en el vídeo de un grupo de rock local que tiene una canción llamada “Barcelona se ilumina”.
As we went up to the second station, which is where the castle is located, the view is beautiful. You can see the whole city of Barcelona, in the distance stands out the famous church La Sagrada Familia. From this view came the title of this post, because my granddaughter when she saw this image she immediately placed herself in the video of a local rock band that has a song called "Barcelona lights up".
Cuando llegamos, el lugar es hermoso, el castillo majestuoso y los alrededores se convierten en un excelente paseo, desde el mirador, con vista al mar, te encuentras con el gran Puerto lleno de cruceros, buques de cargas y otras curiosidades propias.

Luego bajamos al primer mirador, hicimos el recorrido admirando fuentes, esculturas y las bellezas naturales que nos rodeaban.

A varios metros del aviso que nos indica que estamos en el Mirador del Alcalde, se encuentra esta escultura que es un homenaje al baile típico de Cataluña: La sardana, la cual he visto bailar en varias ocasiones y posiblemente en algún momento montaré un post sobre este aspecto cultural de la región.

Después de recorrer el lugar, llegamos al cafetín, allí pedimos algo para refrescarnos, brindamos por estar juntos y los buenos momentos que estábamos pasando.
After touring the place, we arrived at the coffee shop, there we ordered something to refresh ourselves, we toasted for being together and the good times we were having.
Esta fotografía también tiene su cuento, pues le pedimos a nuestra niña que pasara corriendo para que las palomas levantaran vuelo y en ese momento le tomaríamos la foto, la niña lo intentó y los tres: el padre, la tía y la abuela preparados para la famosa foto y las palomas, para nuestro asombro, ni se inmutaron, ja,ja,ja.
This photograph also has its story, because we asked our little girl to run past so that the pigeons would take flight and at that moment we would take the picture, the girl tried and the three of us: father, aunt and grandmother prepared for the famous photo and the pigeons, to our astonishment, did not even flinch, ha,ha,ha,ha.
