What relaxes you? Art in all its manifestations relaxes me a lot. I find in artistic expression a special connection that, without knowing the author or the meaning of his work, I find my own sense, before a painting, a sculpture or a photograph I find myself feeling, emotions flow and inevitably I value, almost immediately, the artist's ability to arouse emotions through color, shapes or movement.

Of course, sometimes I come across works that aesthetically I do not find "beautiful" or that its content makes feelings of sadness or reflection on the absurdity of the reality shown emerge, however, that moment of finding myself immersed in the work, abstracts me, calms me so I consider it a relaxation zone.

The photographs that I present to you is a street exhibition, called "El Arte Está en la Calle" (Art is in the Street) that is currently located in the Perez Almarza Boulevard in the city of Maracay-Venezuela.

The boulevard is what we could call an inhospitable place, because it was remodeled a few years ago and in this remodeling the trees were removed from the roots, being replaced by a "modern" style that breaks with our idiosyncrasy of being "The Garden City of Venezuela" and with all ecological concept.

Suddenly, a few weeks ago, I passed by the place and finding this work was like an immediate reconciliation, I felt it humanized, cozy, because walking among the works was like a respite from the oppressive heat, an invitation to stop, to place myself in that beautiful now that surrounded me, it was like a warm bath where the outside world stops and you get to enjoy the interaction between the work and you.

If you are in Maracay or visiting the city, be sure to stop by this street exhibition that rejoices the spirit. From here I congratulate and thank each author for their work.

¿Qué te relaja? A mí me relaja mucho el arte en todas sus manifestaciones. Encuentro en la expresión artística, una conexión especial que, sin conocer el autor ni el sentido de su obra, le hallo mi propio sentido, ante una pintura, una escultura o fotografía me encuentro sintiendo, las emociones fluyen e inevitablemente valoro, casi de inmediato, la capacidad del artista para despertar emociones a través del color, las formas o el movimiento.

Por supuesto, en ocasiones me encuentro con obras que estéticamente no me parecen “bonitas” o que su contenido hacen que emerjan sentimientos de tristezas o de reflexión sobre lo absurdo de la realidad mostrada, sin embargo, ese momento de encontrarme imbuida en la obra, me abstrae, me calma por lo que lo considero una zona de relax.

Las fotografías que les presento es una exposición de calle, llamada “El Arte Está en la Calle” que actualmente se encuentra en el Bulevar Pérez Almarza de la ciudad de Maracay-Venezuela.

El bulevar es lo que pudiéramos llamar un lugar inhóspito, pues fue remodelado hace unos años y en dicha remodelación los árboles fueron sacados de raíz, siendo sustituido por un estilo “moderno” que rompe con nuestra idiosincrasia de ser “La ciudad Jardín de Venezuela” y con todo concepto ecologista.

De pronto, unas semanas atrás, pasé por el lugar y encontrarme con este trabajo fue como una reconciliación inmediata, lo sentí humanizado, acogedor, pues pasearme entre las obras fue como un respiro ante el agobiante calor, una invitación a detenerme, a ubicarme en ese ahora hermoso que me rodeaba, fue como un baño tibio donde el mundo exterior se detiene y logras disfrutar de esa interacción entre la obra y tú.

Si estás en Maracay o, vienes de visita a la ciudad, no dejes de pasar por esta exposición de calle que alegra el espíritu. Desde acá felicito y agradezco a cada autor por su trabajo.
