This summer has been pretty great so far. It hasn't been filled with a bunch of traveling or extravagant purchases, but I have been lucky to enjoy many great times already. Today is the last day of June, so we are about halfway through summer now here where I live in West Virginia, USA. I figured that now would be a great time to dump some of my best photos since the weather has officially turned hot.

I started my new job in May. Since beginning this journey, I've been much happier and able to stop stressing so much about the price of HIVE. I had forgotten how much easier it is to have a consistent paycheck, even if I'm not getting rich off of it. A bonus is the fact that my job is actually fun to me and the people I work with truly need me. If you're curious about what I've been doing for work, I am now a senior wellness transporter for a local skilled nursing center. To put it plainly, I'm a driver for a nursing home. I'll leave it at that and say it is my favorite 9-5 job I've ever worked.

There have been many celebrations this summer already. My brother moved into his first solo apartment, which my and mom assisted with a great deal. My mom and dad both had birthdays. Then we also got together for Mother's and Father's Day. July 4th is this week, although I will be working for some overtime pay. Plus I am getting to vacation to Mexico with some friends and family in August. This will be my first time traveling to Mexico and I am extremely excited. We will be staying in a house with 8 people in total on the beautiful island of Isla Mujeres.

My weekends have been spent doing all sorts of fun things such as going kayaking and paddleboarding, visting with cute animals, and eating delicious foods. I love my time at the lake and could spend every single weekend there without getting bored. There is something about a calm body of water and sunlight that just does it for me. Since I don't live anywhere close to a beach, the lake is my favorite summer spot.

I am currently getting over quite possibly the worst sickness I've endured in a very long time. I had a skin infection on my face that ended up wrecking me for almost 2 full weeks. One side of my face was swollen and painful to the point of me going to the doctor, that's rare for me. My throat was sore, my ear hurt, and I had body aches. It was not fun, but thankfully I'm feeling much better now. The only thing left is for this wound on my face to finally go away. This has caused me to take a few weekends off from going to the gym or swimming at the lake. I'll be back in action soon though and more motivated than ever. Being sick really makes you appreciate your health once you finally regain it.

All in all, I have to say that Summer 2024 has been pretty freaking great. I am happy with what I have in life and am still very optimistic about the future. I may not have predicted the current status of HIVE and crypto as a whole, but I've still managed to find many other ways to be happy and continue forth in life. As with everything, you must find ways to adapt and never give up. It's paying off yet again as I still have a lot to look forward to with the second half of this summer and the rest of 2024.
