Gran Turismo 7 is constantly adding new cars to the game. One of the latest additions is the 2020 Alfa Romeo Giulia GTAm.
If you are familiar with this Italian luxury automaker, you may have heard of their Quadrifoglio lineup, aka the sportier versions of their cars. The one to keep in mind to compare to the Giulia GTAm is the Giulia Quadrifoglio.
The Quadrifoglio is already a beast in itself, but it is geared towards also being a daily driver. You can easily notice the difference between the Quadrifoglio and base models by the signature four-leaf clover badge on the front fender. The GTA and GTAm are more focused on legitimate racing. The GTA sheds a few hundred pounds, gets a few body changes for aerodynamics, and an increase in horsepower and torque.
The top-of-the-line model in the Giulia lineup celebrated 110 years of Alfa
Romeo, say hello to the GTAm created by the Sauber racing team in collaboration with Alfa.
If you are wondering what GTAm stands for, it is the Italian phrase Gran Turismo Alleggerita modificata, which translates to Lightened Grand Tourer modified in English.
Some more info about the car itself...
In 2020, special editions of the Alfa Romeo Giulia were introduced to celebrate the 110th anniversary of the historic company. The cars were called the Giulia GTA and GTAm, which were based on the high-performance
Quadrifoglio model.
For these cars, the power output of the twin-turbocharged 2.9-liter V-6 was increased to 533 HP, while curb weight was reduced by 220 lbs. Also, the front and rear track were widened by 2.0 inches to enhance the car's stability, while the cars' aerodynamics were significantly enhanced in the form of new front and rear fenders, as well as other redesigned body parts, thanks to help from Alfa Romeo's Formula 1 partner, Sauber. The GTAm offers a more hardcore setup designed for circuit use. In addition to a larger front splitter and carbon fiber rear wing, a roll-cage was installed and the rear seats were removed.
The GTAm is already ready to be driven hard right out of the in-game dealership. That still wasn't enough for me however, I wanted to add more mods and create a unique livery design to help my ride stand out even more.
Here is a look at what about $100k worth of mods did to the performance numbers...
Starting stats:
532 HP
442 ft-lb torque
3483 lbs
Stats after modifications:
726 HP
541 ft-lb torque
2577 lbs
I shed a ton of weight and added quite a bit of power too. Luckily this car is AWD, so it still handles like a dream and boy is it fast.
Next was my livery design. Luckily now that GT7 has been out for almost a year, there are all sorts of good designs that have been uploaded by the community. I used a combination of Irish-themed decals to create a one-of-a-kind livery.
Although the car is manufactured in Italy, I can't help but think Irish due to the four-leaf clover badges. This is what inspired my design.
I combined several Irish brands with a few Irish-like images. You'll see Jameson whiskey, Bailey's Irish Cream, Irish Death from USA-based Iron Horse Brewery, O'Malleys Irish Cream Liqueur, Guinness, and the famous Notre Dame Fighting Irish mascot. All of that is paired with the stock wheels, except I had them painted gold.
I totally love this design and it reminds me of a similar design I made a few years back on NFS Heat. If you want to see that one, check it out here. I'm curious to know which one you like better.
I of course had to head over to the Scapes photo mode to capture some stellar photographs of this thing after I completed it. I kept all photo locations either in Italy or Ireland, to stay in line with the feel of the car. You will notice each image has a caption of the exact location in either country.
The last thing to do was take this thing out for a spin. I loaded up one of the many available race tracks in GT7 and I hit a few laps in my Irish GTAm. I absolutely love how it drives and look forward to getting behind the wheel of it again soon.
Let me know what you think of the design. Thanks for checking out my photos.

Looks great there! Loving the series ❤️ Empty places, just nice wiew, indeed !
Thank you! I wanted to find locations that fit the vibe of the car. I think Ireland and Italy were both perfect countries to showcase this design.
I know it's not real, i do! But fuck it feels like the cars are edited into real life pictures🤣 nice work broh, looks good.
Especially that tealish blue?
This game makes me feel like an actual car photographer. I would be so happy to own this car for real and be able to pose next to it. I know I could Photoshop that, but it's just not the same.
You have shared some beautiful photography. Those are really amazing.
the places are great and even more so when you have a vehicle like this GT has improved a lot since I had the opportunity to play it a long time ago
This game is next-level. I'm not sure any other video game offers worldwide photography at this level.
Italy has great places but the Roman Colosseum must be great to be there
I imagine the Colosseum was quite the place back when it first opened. Even now it is still something to marvel at.

These photos look great, great job.
Thanks man! It's not fair for real-life car photographers how easily I can recreate stunning photos on a video game. I'm not complaining though.
No, however, these images are really scary, too beautiful!
Then you wrote the word "Italian" in the title... I couldn't help but run eh eh!
It can be nearly impossible to resist an Italian supercar like this 😉🇮🇹
Wow, this post really caught my attention as a racing game enthusiast and a person who have always craved to play Gran Turismo. The Alfa Romeo Giulia GTAm sounds like an amazing addition to the game and I can't wait to get my hands on it and try out the increased power and improved aerodynamics. The collaboration with Sauber Racing team makes it even more exciting. I especially love the idea of creating a unique livery design for the car, it's a great way to make it stand out and give it a personal touch. I can't wait to see the final design and take it for a spin on the circuit.
The car drives just as well as it looks. I think it's just as important to make your car stand out as it is to win races.
I love these photo sections, the GT7 is unique in that mode of photography. !PIZZA
I do too man, can't get enough of it. I have been building and designing cars like crazy this week. I've easily spent just as much time customizing as I have driving.
I gifted $PIZZA slices here:

i dont know why, but this one reminded me of the Japanese car from canonball run..
It's that private jet of mine ✈️😜
The good ol' Mitsubishi Starion. Such a fine car. Sadly it is not in the game for me to drive.
