Layers
I always find getting out on hiking trips to be like the creativity version of hitting a speed boost while playing Mario Kart. It's a compounded period of time in which you can allow your mind to wander & be curious.
After setting up camp & filtering enough water for dinner we headed out to an outcrop of rocks to see what was on the other side. Once there we found an obstructed view over the valley towards the Victoria/NSW (Australia) border with some what I presume man-made fires burning off in the distance.
Thankfully I'd lugged my heavy telephoto lens along with me & was able to capture this image
