Getting to know the village of Galipan!

“Discover the world with an open mind and a curious heart.”

Hello friends! I wish you all a beautiful and blessed day, first of all I want to thank God for allowing me to share with you my adventures and fantastic places that I am getting to know in my hometown Caracas-Venezuela. Today I want to show you how was my trip to a beautiful town called Galipan.

It all started last Sunday when my older sister, my mother, my daughters and I decided to go up the Avila in 4x4 vehicles to get to the town of Galipan.

Galipan owes its name to a cacique who inhabited these mountains at the time of the conquest, after the displacement of the natives of the area the new settlers made the construction of houses and economic development of the area.

Since then it is known as a tourist site of preference for the capital because in 30 minutes you get to this wonderful place where the weather is cool and the 100% natural environment disconnects you from the overwhelming city.

When we arrived the weather was spectacular, we had a radiant sun but thanks to the continuous clouds made the ride more pleasant since we had our own natural umbrella.

We knew every corner of the town, we walked a small slope to reach a traffic circle that enchanted us by its wooden signs painted with the names of other nearby locations. We took advantage of the opportunity to take some nice pictures and a very popular country house in the area that without a doubt my daughters and I would like to pose with my daughters in such a nice place.

It was time for lunch, after looking at several options we arrived at a restaurant to eat a hot and delicious chicken soup, accompanied by a cachapa with cheese (cachapa is like a panqueca but it is made of tender corn) and a pineapple flavored soda. The meal was perfect and of course we were happy as the saying goes: Belly full, heart happy!

After resting the food for a while, we finished the tour taking a break next to a beautiful green grass, we took family pictures and talked for a while, telling about the place we loved the most and when would be our next date to go again, but this time spend a night next to an inn near the town. Whose prices seemed very reasonable and accessible for the family.

I hope you liked it, I am very grateful that you took me into account!

See you on an upcoming adventure!

Greetings and Blessings!

Looks so peaceful and country houses are lovely. It's on a mountain so definitely far away from pollution and stressful city life; even the dog is so welcoming... What a beautiful day to explore this village and eat their delicious food. It's really good to distance ourselves from the city noise and recharge somewhere in a place as natural as this.

Thank you for such a beautiful and detailed comment. It is like this town apart from being close to the city, once you get there you disconnect from the chaos of the capital. Excellent family plan ☺️

Venezuela has a spectacular geography. I was able to prove it when I studied my undergraduate degree in that specialty and I was able to confirm it when I visited that beautiful country.

The images you show are very beautiful and that mountain I appreciate is a beautiful ecosystem.

When you talk about good weather I see the clouds in the photos and those are called cumulus nimbis that are like cotton balls and produce good weather.

Excellent place to spend a nice, healthy and quiet day.

Thanks for sharing.

Happy weekend.

Cheers and greetings.
