Family Weekend in the town of El Junquito
Hello friends!!! I send you greetings full of good energy and love for the whole community of #weekendexperiences, today I want to show you what was our family weekend in the town called El Junquito.
This beautiful country town with cold weather (very nice) is located on the outskirts of the capital of Caracas in my country Venezuela, to get there we took the subway train to La Yaguara station and there you take a bus that leaves you right at the entrance of this town.
It is worth noting that from the beginning of the ride the landscape dazzles you, its high green mountains are wonderful and the weather gradually changes and you feel that delicious cold that forces you to be huddled with your loved ones.
The trip took only 45 minutes to the village and when we arrived we went straight to the natural park that is located there, I loved it! Entering that forest seemed to be in a fairy tale, the grass was super green, the pines were beautiful and very tall. Every corner of the forest was perfect for taking pictures.
My daughters Camila and Vannesa enjoyed the park to the fullest, I took the opportunity to take some nice pictures as a souvenir and they saw the opportunity to ride on the trunk of a fallen tree to balance. It was fantastic!
My husband and I also took the opportunity to take some pictures and our oldest daughter Camila was our photographer.
When we spent a nice time in the forest we went to lunch, during the walk through the village is impressive the excellent attention that the locals give you, they gave us to taste bites of fried pork, corn tortillas with cheese (in my country it is called cachapa) and bits of cassava with a variety of sauces. These attentions were to know how to choose the right place to eat and so it was.
We sat down in a nice restaurant named: El sabor del Pueblo, the service was wonderful and we ordered a varied dish consisting of fried pork, 2 varieties of sausages and tender corn rolls, that food was delicious and we enjoyed it very much.
Already the ride was going great, we ate delicious and we offered our daughters a rich dessert which was Strawberries and peach with whipped cream and chocolate syrup.
And to give the final touch to this nice family ride we surprised the girls with a ride on ponies, my daughters enjoyed it and were very happy.
On the way home my daughters couldn't stop talking about how much they enjoyed the forest, the food, the dessert and the ponies. They were laughing and their looks of happiness was what made my husband and I feel that it was good to plan this trip for them.
We arrived home and all it took was a good shower for my daughters to fall asleep immediately and it was time to talk over a cup of tea with my husband about our family day in the town of El Junquito.
Enjoying these moments as a family is living life to the fullest!
Greetings and blessings!
