When Tropical Depression Hit Our Place, Preparing For the Possible Evacuation

Our Country experienced Tropical Depression and the said tropical depression will pass here in the Province that is why we kept monitored and prepared the important things in times we do evacuating. Our House is near at the river and it is very easy to reach by big flood. 10 in the Morning when the heavy rain started to precipated and the place was almost zero visibility because of the heavy rain. We are still here at the Farm when heavy rain strikes. I started to worried about the situations and I kept myself calm and preparing the important things to brought in times of evacuating. I never know that it was already 11 in the morning and eating hot soup is very perfect for a cold day. My Father was decided to went to the river even if it has heavy rain outside, just to catch lots of shrimps and fish.

After almost an hour of waiting for my Father to arrived finally Je brought lots of shrimps catched from the river. As for that, we are very happy to see and good for our Meals. My Mother was decided to cooked into Ginataan Recipé, perfect for cold weather and aside of that, I also boiled this Okra Vegetables I'd got from my Simple Garden. The heavy rain continued to Pour and it was already 12 Noon.

The Ground was started to flood because of the heavy rain and the big pails and buckets we put are already filled with lots of water. The water we can get from the rain is very useful in times of intense heat season and used for watering the plants and for cleaning house chores. Even if we felt worried we still very happy because our plants can be really survive and grows because of the water comes from the rain. Our plants really needs water because of the past intense weather situations.

After preparing those important things, I also prepared this 90 year old lamp we have here. This was given from my Great, Great Grandmother. I filled it with Gas and it will be used when there is a power interuption. This kind of weather will be expected to have power interuptions but we just hope that it wont be happen. I placed it at the table so I can easily grab it when the Power cut and can easily lighted.

After few hours of heavy rain, the river was started to flood washing out big branches, twigs and trash. But before it was happened we already crossed the river and went to our Barangay in Punta Silum. The river was clean again because of the flood but sadly my Garden was been flooded again washed away those vegetables I have.

At Coastal Areas:

Not only our Province was hit by tropical depression but also neighboring places like Iligan and Cagayan de Oro City. As I visited the coastal areas I've seen this big and rough waves splashing to the coastal areas.

The winds continuesly blowing big trees and coconut trees. The small wooden boats use for fishing was already reached by sea water and lots of trash are at the shore. Tropical depression hit our place Two days and we really hope that there will no casualties and homes destroyed due in this bad weather. By next day we will visit our Farm again to see what are the damages cause by big floods. Gladly we are all okay despite of bad weather happens here. But My Garden was really destroyed by flood.
